Lisa Forrest nominated for Pushcart Prize!

Lisa Forrest, Reference Services Librarian for the E.H. Butler Library at Buffalo State College has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. The Pushcart Prize, self-described as “the most honored literary project in America”, has published their anthology of the “Best of the Small Presses” including short stories, poetry and essays since 1976.

Lisa commented “I am totally honored to have my poem ‘Killing Dead Tires’ nominated for a 2007 Pushcart Prize by Not Just Air Literary e-Journal. (It is) a poem I wrote years ago which is not representative of my worktoday. How funny.”

Her book of poems “To the Eaves” is scheduled for publication with Blaze Vox in May/June 2008.

Congratulations and kudos to the amazingly literary-talented Lisa (also the mother of 16 year old son, Matthew) who is truly “Minnesota Nice”!
